Unfortunately we still have no word! But we will trust in the Lord with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, leaning not on our own understanding but in all our ways acknowledge HIM, the Sovereign God and Father of us all, and HE will make our paths straight!
We so appreciate your continued and incredible love, prayers, encouragement and concern for us. We have been so humbled by all of this. Today God brought us to an even deeper place. Mark Bruney, a fairly new Oaks member and fairly new to Baton Rouge, brought us a beautiful meal, quite the gourmet! He himself has leukemia and in remission right now, praise God, but he is walking a very difficult path right now here in Baton Rouge caring for his mother who has dementia. Here he comes with this beautiful meal ministering to us when he himself is walking such a difficult path, but he said he loves to cook and praises God everyday that he can help and bless someone else! How beautiful is the body of Christ!
I dedicate these words as a praise and a prayer to Mark and all of you who have loved and blessed us so powerfully, so beautifully!
How beautiful the hands that served
The wine and the bread and the sons of the earth
How beautiful the feet that walked
The long dusty road and the hill to the cross
How beautiful, how beautiful
How beautiful is the body of Christ
How beautiful the heart that bled
That took all my sin and bore it instead
How beautiful the tender eyes
That chose to forgive and never despise
How beautiful, how beautiful
How beautiful is the body of Christ
And as He laid down His life
We offer this sacrifice
That we will live just as he died
Willing to pay the price
Willing to pay the price
How beautiful the radiant bride
Who waits for her groom with His light in her eyes
How beautiful when humble hearts give
The fruit of pure lives so that others may live
How beautiful, how beautiful
How beautiful is the body of Christ
How beautiful the feet that bring
The sound of good news and the love of the King
How beautiful the hands that serve
The wine and the bread and the sons of the earth
How beautiful, how beautiful
How beautiful is the body of Christ
(lyrics by Twila Paris)
Mary Elizabeth will sing this at Maggie and Spencer's wedding ceremony as Kevin minsters to them their 1st Communion as husband and wife!
We love you all dearly with the love of the Lord! We will certainly keep you posted, therefore we cherish your continued prayers for us!
