Choir Leadership prays with Ken. What a sweet time. Ken is wrapped in love and prayers as he wears the prayer shawl that SuSu's knitting group made.
Lifting Holy Hands...
Donald Tabb praying..."We trust you, we trust you, we trust you, we trust you..."
In the waiting room...waiting for results from PET scan and other tests.
"I might embarrass you....by singing praises out loud!
This great hymnbook has been a great source of comfort! Ken said he has sung just about every song and every verse! There are great songs of faith, hope, and comfort...just incase you've never picked one up!
Ken actually took the hymnal with him into see the doctor...I wish you could have been there to see the hope and comfort mixed with anticipation as we waited for the results.
Door of Anticipation!
I'm not really sure why I took a picture of this door. As Ken and the family walked through it, I couldn't take my eyes off of it. Waiting, hoping, praying, that the faces that would return would be smiling faces. As I waited and watched, I was reminded by the Lord that this was a door that they had to walk through. My job was to support, encourage, and pray! We all have doors of our own to walk through, but we must not forget that God in His faithfulness is walking right by our side, holding our hand.
I met a lady in the waiting room, she was alone, waiting for a visit with the doctor. I had the opportunity to talk with her and share the comfort of Christ. Her name was Kathy.... How sweet of the Lord to provide another sister in Christ to join me in praying for my precious friends. We prayed aloud in the waiting room together for the Drakes for 10-15 minutes. It was a sweet time of fellowship with someone I didn't even know...but she prayed for Ken and Kathy like she had known them forever!
After a little over an hour, I finally got to see the faces that I anxiously awaited...but they didn't come back through this door. They made it to the other side! Ken was the first out, shaking his head with half a smile, I didn't know what to think until his big hug and the words in my ear...."I've got the doctors bumfuzzled!" Kathy and the family followed behind him with smiles. My heart was overjoyed and rejoicing! There are still doors that they have to walk through to find out what is going on in Ken's body. Continue to pray for healing in Jesus' name. We are still hopefully optimistic that the doors Ken is walking through are doors of strength, healing, rest, and restoration. May God be glorified in all!
Revelation 3:20,21 Says, "Behold I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears and listens to and heeds My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will eat with him, and he [will eat] with Me. 21 He who overcomes (is victorious)...
Trust the Savior to walk through the doors He has called you through. He wants to fellowship with you and grant you a place to sit down beside Him on His throne.
Trusting,
Sherry
